Coastal Scents Hot Pots

Sooo..

About a week ago, Coastal Scents was offering an amazing deal. All their hot pots were .99 cents! They are regularly $1.95, which is still very affordable. Before this order I had never ordered individual hot pots - honestly because I have been eyeing the Makeup Geek shadows. I do have a couple Coastal Scents palettes that do contain the hot pots: the Think Pink, Winterberry, Fall Festival, and Forever Natural Palettes. I am head over heels with them because they're buttery smooth and blend like a dream.

The site has 377 hot pots to choose from, overwhelming haha.
And so it was difficult to just pick 1.. or 30 :X
hides under a rock*

Anyway, I ended up picking a little over 40 shadows in total, most of them being neutral. Most of them are in this z palette. As for the ones that did not fit, I've set them aside until I can get my hands on another z palette. 'Til then, I'll leave them outta the picture (..and give them their own review!) The colors range from neutrals to brights, from matte to shimmer and everything in between and anything you can think of. Personally, I think the shimmer shadows might end up being my favorite formula!

As far as these go, I'M IN LOOOOVE. Like I already mentioned, these are super easy to blend, and pigmented as hell, girl. There are shimmer, satin, and matte colors. All of which are super pigmented, but I do find that the shimmer shadows are the most pigmented. I use them with an Urban Decay base and they last the whole day. These will NOT budge whatsoever. I think I will hold up on the MUG shadows for a whileeee.

I'm still testing the shades out and putting combinations together and enjoying it so much. Let me know if you'd like to know my top 5 must haves! I already have a couple favorites I'm thinking of doing a post on.. If you have any other questions let me know in the comment section!

Overall grade: A+++++ (because it's possible, lol)

Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains

WELL HELLO!

Once again, I am back!
I guess I'm all about bloggin' today, haha!
Bringing you this super quick review!
I will be talking about the fairly new Jordana Twist and Shine Balm Stains!
Clearly, I'm too excited, I'm ending every sentence with an exclamation point, haha

Anywho..
Here they are..
The shades I will be reviewing in order from top to bottom include Cranberry Crush, Honey Love, Tropical Frenzy, and Candid Coral. Candid Coral is what I am wearing in the first picture which I paired with a golden yellow eyeshadow look :)

In the order that they were mentioned, here are their swatches! This picture was taken in natural daylight and no editing. They are true to color and glossy. They are a stain, very comparable to the Revlon Balm Stains (..which I'm equally obsessed with). These last forever, seriously. They do leave a stain by the 5th hour of wear and do not dry out my lips. They leave an almost true to color stain so it looks like you have actually reapplied the color. It does not have much transfer so no worries when kissing the hubby or leaving stains on your coffee cup! They are smooth and because it is shaped like a jumbo pencil, it's so easy to line your lips and just fill 'em in. They smell like candy to me so I do not mind wearing them for long periods at a time. The smell wears off shortly after applying. I really want to try the other colors. These are an amazing option in replacement of the Revlon ones. They retailed for $3.49 at my local Walgreens as opposed to the regular $8.99 for a Revlon one!..

Definitely the better option, although the only complaint is that they need more colors!

Overall Grade: A+

Let me know if you have tried these out!

RiRi Hearts MAC Review!

 RIRI HEARTS MAC REVIEW

Hello ladies!

So here is my review on the items I picked up at MAC from the RiRi Hearts MAC collection.
I ended up choosing two items for myself which included the lipstick in Talk that Talk and the only blush this collection had called Bad Girl Gone Good. Below I have posted some beautiful pictures of the goods! The packaging is PERFECT! in my opinion, at least.

I wore the lipstick to work today as a means to test it out. As you can see it swatched above, the color is beaaaautiful, perfect for fall and  winter. It is a retromatte formula meaning it is more matte yet easier to wear because it has an almost velvety finish. I don't know if it is my lipstick but this thing was patchy as heeeeeell. It was so hard to build it up evenly. It probably lasted a good 2 hours before it started settling into the fine lines of my lips BAD. Kinda disappointed but I guess I'll work with it because I am obsessed with the color. It does look a lot like Rebel and Diva, in case you are looking for a similar color in the permanent line of lipsticks.

As for the blush: LOVE. It swatched amazing, wore beautifully, and lasted forever. No complaints, really. It's probably my favorite item in the collection. If you want to grab just one thing, go for this. I don't have a color similar to it so I can really appreciate this color.

I'm debating wether I want to go back to get something else, but swatches make it hard to love.. Hmmm, we'll see!
Let me know what y'all got or what's on your wishlisht!

'til the next post!..

RiRi Hearts MAC

RIRI HEARTS MAC

eeeeeeeep!

SO GUESS WHAT!? I was able to get my hands on some RiRi goodies today! The hubby and I went to one of the closest Pro stores we've got around at a pretty late timing because I had AM classes..

GUYS. I mean ladies, er, mhm..

I just CAN'T. The packaging is to die for! I haven't been able to take pictures of anything specific yet because overall it was a very busy day for us.. But I did get this picture of all the goodies in our MAC bag. ^_^

Most were birthday gifts for my lovely sis and sister-in-law. I only got two things. But I will definitely be going back for more - when it hits counters on the 3rd! So ladies - if you didn't get your chance, mark your calendars! Most of the items were sold out by the time we got there. I ended up with the blush and a lipstick.. Of course, I will make sure to post those deets on here ASAP!

In the meantime, can we just stare at this packaging!?

Enjoy your night, get back to ya on the next post!

BH Cosmetics Floral Blushes Review

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone is having a lovely start to the week! I have been immensely busy with school but it won't stop me from enjoying some new goodies I have gotten in the mail! BH Cosmetics was having a great deal on their new Floral blushes.. all 5 for TWENTY bucks. Me, being the shopaholic that I am, couldn't pass up this opportunity. I received them recently and I can never complain about BH Cosmetics shipping - it probably took less than a week for them to get here.

The blushes are originally $4.95 and come in 5 different shades. All of which I have include Tulip, Rose, Lilac, Daisy, and Iris. They are all different, corresponding shades to names.

I noticed that these are HUGE. Haha, which I love! It means these will last me a while. I will be including a picture of swatches up next..

..so as you can probably tell, not all of them were completely pigmented as I thought they would be. If you'd like a more detailed look you may check my Instagram! My favorite by far was Rose, it was the softest one out of the bunch and full on saturated color with a light sweep of my finger. I also believe it may compliment the most variety of skin tones. The least pigmented resulted to be was Daisy - probably the chalkiest as well. Not a huge fan, but I can make it work. I can probably also use these shades as highlights/eyeshadows. Every highlight also swatched beautifully, no complaints there.

Overall grade: B-

I love the cute packaging, the size of the blushes and that they don't really have a scent as I am acne-prone and my skin can be somewhat sensitive to scents. For the most part, the blushes swatched true to color for the exception of Daisy. I can definitely see these as being every day blushes! Ladies, for $5 each, you can't go wrong. Let me know if you've tried these yourself - I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Enjoy your week!
