The Sola Look - The Glamatica Collection Lipsticks

Hi everyone!

Today, I will be talking about these beautiful lipsticks that I received not too long ago. I have been wearing these constantly and I am impressed by their pigment and staying power!

The set of lipsticks comes in a pack of 3 and they retail for $30 which is an amazing price point for the quality.

The colors that are included are Karla, Carolina, and Isabel.

The first thing I noticed about these lipsticks was packaging. Right off the bat, I could tell they were amazing quality because they felt heavy - I know that sounds weird. Compared to my MAC lippies, these felt heavier and they close super securely. The logo is also on each lipstick, "The Sola Look" decorated with pretty flowers in purple. A+ for packaging!

Swatches above from left to right are: Isabel, Carolina, and Karla! They are all matte on the lips. Isabel presents a little more satin sheen but nothing too crazy.

As a fellow hispanic woman myself, I am obsessed with the cute names - it feels a little more personal. :)

These are heavily pigmented and the darker shades lasted a bit more than the nude. Longevity was about 5 hours without touching up!

Carolina is my favorite - I have a thing for fuchsia lipsticks.. LOL

Above everything my favorite aspect of this lipstick line is what it represents. The Sola Look promotes confidence and beauty in every woman in a very glamorous way! There are no heavy oils or the dry feeling like other matte lipsticks. These are not tested on animals and are paraben- and lanolin-free!

What more could you ask for in a lipstick!?

One suggstion for The Sola Look - make more shades! I have thoroughly enjoyed these and hope they expand their lipstick line.

You can find these beautiful lipsticks on their site: TheSolaLook.com

Hope you enjoyed this review and have a great end of the week!

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette

HELLO PRETTIES!

So I am really excited because I just received my It's Judy Time palette from BH Cosmetics!
Judy has been and will remain one of my favorite youtubers! I am so happy that she was able to produce with the help of BH Cosmetics, this beautiful palette!

It retails for 14.95 currently on the BH Cosmetics website. I believe they're letting customers to a limit of one palette only because they are selling out fast!

I can definitely see why, these colors are beautiful!
Below I have left you all of the swatches of each color in this palette.. So have fun and indulge! The pigmentation is beautiful for allll the colors. The only one that I felt was a teeny bit chalky was the last color - it is an almost matte deep purple blue shade.

Nonetheless, I am in love!..

There are 12 shades in this palette, ranging from shimmer/satin to matte. They all have amazing pigmentation for the price of this palette. A definite must in your collection if you love neutral and pops of purple.
I love color but sometimes find it tricky to wear it on my lid. Purple is a color that suits any eye color and is next to the most wearable colors in my opinion. I think she did an amazing job with her color selection. The second color in the first row is a great transition/crease color and a dupe for MAC's Soft Brown eyeshadow!
You can create so many looks with this palette from pretty, light daytime looks, to more sultry, or fun nigh time looks.

Swatches of each eyeshadow color are below. Super easy to blend and high pigmentation for each. The last shade was a little chalky. No primer used. I do use a primer on before putting the eyeshadows on my eye lids however; these lasted all day. No fading, no creasing. I used UD shadow potion!

..and this is the look I came up with! Neutral day time look appropriate for work using the second shade in the first row and the first shade in the second row! I used the first light purple shade on my bottom lash line for a pop of color! I finished off the look with Jordana's lip pencil in Cranberry Crush!

Don't forget to follow me on IG and let me know if you're thinking of getting this palette before it sells out!

Have a lovely day <3

NARS Guy Bourdin Blush Palette

Well Hello…

Yes, I am back! ..and with another review!
Unfortunately I have been extra busy with school and work. :(
But I did purchase this BEAUTIFUL NARS limited edition Guy Bourdin One Night Stand palette not too along ago. The palette was available online end of October and in stores at Sephora on November 1st. This palette retails for $65.

I was waaay too excited for this since I never got my hands on the ever so famous Danmari palette. It is my first NARS product actually, and I can not tell you how much in love with it I am! Is it possible to be infatuated with blush!? NARS makes it possible.

The palette itself has beautiful packaging. As all NARS products, it has that rubberized material that does tend to get dirty fairly quickly. I've kept this little sucker in its box just because I don't want it to get dirty. Eventually, I'll have to part with it though because realistically, it is not practical to constantly take it out of its box and put it back in especially when I've been using it so often.

The artist's name, Guy Bourdin is printed in front of the palette  To be honest, I had never heard if this artist until this palette came out. I looked up a little of his background and it is not really my style or to my appeal.. But that is another story.

As it being my first NARS item ever, I was even more excited because I was finally able to try out Orgasm - the #1 most popular bush. Aside from this beautiful universal shade, there is Laguna, which is also another hyped up color used for bronzing/contouring.

The palette include a plastic film to go over the blushes which I thought was a sweet detail so the blushes would not get all over the really big size mirror!
The colors from left to right first row include Devotee, Mistinguette, Orgasm.
The colors from left to right second row include Laguna, Deep Throat, and Goulue!

Here are the 6 swatched out colors.

Devotee - is more of a white highlighter which is beautiful on top of any of the blush colors combined with Laguna or worn alone. I noticed that all the shades lasted all day and the colors were true to color.

Mistinguette - is a BRIGHT pink shade. My favorite out of the bunch and the one I have tested out the most. This is a very pretty shade that can be worn alone or with Devotee. I also feel that it is great paired with a more smokey look and bright pink lips to match!

Orgasm - is a peachy pink with a beautiful gold shimmer. Typically I do not reach for blushes with shimmer but this one is universally flattering. Goes with any look and an easy every day blush.

Laguna - is a brown with a bit of gold shimmer. I do not feel that the shimmer transfers and is a great contouring or bronzing color for everyday. I used this one the least but I do really like it.

Deep Throat - is a more sheer peachy pink color. Amazing everyday color. Super smooth as well as the others and looks wonderful paired with more gold or neutral eye looks!

Goulue - is a deeper, almost red shade. The darkest blush out of all of them and I find hardest to wear. Sheered out, it looks pretty and provides a natural flush to the cheeks. I love this with a darker eye look and brown lips!

Ok ladies, this was my quick review on the NARS One Night stand palette!
And I am in LOOOVE. I love every shade. Any color can suit a variety of skin tones and they wear like a dream.

Let me know if you have purchased this palette and what  your favorite color is!

Coastal Scents Hot Pots

Sooo..

About a week ago, Coastal Scents was offering an amazing deal. All their hot pots were .99 cents! They are regularly $1.95, which is still very affordable. Before this order I had never ordered individual hot pots - honestly because I have been eyeing the Makeup Geek shadows. I do have a couple Coastal Scents palettes that do contain the hot pots: the Think Pink, Winterberry, Fall Festival, and Forever Natural Palettes. I am head over heels with them because they're buttery smooth and blend like a dream.

The site has 377 hot pots to choose from, overwhelming haha.
And so it was difficult to just pick 1.. or 30 :X
hides under a rock*

Anyway, I ended up picking a little over 40 shadows in total, most of them being neutral. Most of them are in this z palette. As for the ones that did not fit, I've set them aside until I can get my hands on another z palette. 'Til then, I'll leave them outta the picture (..and give them their own review!) The colors range from neutrals to brights, from matte to shimmer and everything in between and anything you can think of. Personally, I think the shimmer shadows might end up being my favorite formula!

As far as these go, I'M IN LOOOOVE. Like I already mentioned, these are super easy to blend, and pigmented as hell, girl. There are shimmer, satin, and matte colors. All of which are super pigmented, but I do find that the shimmer shadows are the most pigmented. I use them with an Urban Decay base and they last the whole day. These will NOT budge whatsoever. I think I will hold up on the MUG shadows for a whileeee.

I'm still testing the shades out and putting combinations together and enjoying it so much. Let me know if you'd like to know my top 5 must haves! I already have a couple favorites I'm thinking of doing a post on.. If you have any other questions let me know in the comment section!

Overall grade: A+++++ (because it's possible, lol)

Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains

WELL HELLO!

Once again, I am back!
I guess I'm all about bloggin' today, haha!
Bringing you this super quick review!
I will be talking about the fairly new Jordana Twist and Shine Balm Stains!
Clearly, I'm too excited, I'm ending every sentence with an exclamation point, haha

Anywho..
Here they are..
The shades I will be reviewing in order from top to bottom include Cranberry Crush, Honey Love, Tropical Frenzy, and Candid Coral. Candid Coral is what I am wearing in the first picture which I paired with a golden yellow eyeshadow look :)

In the order that they were mentioned, here are their swatches! This picture was taken in natural daylight and no editing. They are true to color and glossy. They are a stain, very comparable to the Revlon Balm Stains (..which I'm equally obsessed with). These last forever, seriously. They do leave a stain by the 5th hour of wear and do not dry out my lips. They leave an almost true to color stain so it looks like you have actually reapplied the color. It does not have much transfer so no worries when kissing the hubby or leaving stains on your coffee cup! They are smooth and because it is shaped like a jumbo pencil, it's so easy to line your lips and just fill 'em in. They smell like candy to me so I do not mind wearing them for long periods at a time. The smell wears off shortly after applying. I really want to try the other colors. These are an amazing option in replacement of the Revlon ones. They retailed for $3.49 at my local Walgreens as opposed to the regular $8.99 for a Revlon one!..

Definitely the better option, although the only complaint is that they need more colors!

Overall Grade: A+

Let me know if you have tried these out!

RiRi Hearts MAC Review!

 RIRI HEARTS MAC REVIEW

Hello ladies!

So here is my review on the items I picked up at MAC from the RiRi Hearts MAC collection.
I ended up choosing two items for myself which included the lipstick in Talk that Talk and the only blush this collection had called Bad Girl Gone Good. Below I have posted some beautiful pictures of the goods! The packaging is PERFECT! in my opinion, at least.

I wore the lipstick to work today as a means to test it out. As you can see it swatched above, the color is beaaaautiful, perfect for fall and  winter. It is a retromatte formula meaning it is more matte yet easier to wear because it has an almost velvety finish. I don't know if it is my lipstick but this thing was patchy as heeeeeell. It was so hard to build it up evenly. It probably lasted a good 2 hours before it started settling into the fine lines of my lips BAD. Kinda disappointed but I guess I'll work with it because I am obsessed with the color. It does look a lot like Rebel and Diva, in case you are looking for a similar color in the permanent line of lipsticks.

As for the blush: LOVE. It swatched amazing, wore beautifully, and lasted forever. No complaints, really. It's probably my favorite item in the collection. If you want to grab just one thing, go for this. I don't have a color similar to it so I can really appreciate this color.

I'm debating wether I want to go back to get something else, but swatches make it hard to love.. Hmmm, we'll see!
Let me know what y'all got or what's on your wishlisht!

'til the next post!..

RiRi Hearts MAC

RIRI HEARTS MAC

eeeeeeeep!

SO GUESS WHAT!? I was able to get my hands on some RiRi goodies today! The hubby and I went to one of the closest Pro stores we've got around at a pretty late timing because I had AM classes..

GUYS. I mean ladies, er, mhm..

I just CAN'T. The packaging is to die for! I haven't been able to take pictures of anything specific yet because overall it was a very busy day for us.. But I did get this picture of all the goodies in our MAC bag. ^_^

Most were birthday gifts for my lovely sis and sister-in-law. I only got two things. But I will definitely be going back for more - when it hits counters on the 3rd! So ladies - if you didn't get your chance, mark your calendars! Most of the items were sold out by the time we got there. I ended up with the blush and a lipstick.. Of course, I will make sure to post those deets on here ASAP!

In the meantime, can we just stare at this packaging!?

Enjoy your night, get back to ya on the next post!
